- Air flow – Blower Door use and
measurements, Digital Manometer use, pressure boundaries, stack,
wind, and mechanical effects on air leakage, calculating ASHRAE
minimum air standard, duct leakage, zonal pressure diagnostics
- Moisture flow – moisture sources,
relative humidity and dew point calculations, controlling
moisture
- Building Science math and fuel bill
analysis
- Proper building site evaluation
- BPI Standards – use and calculation
- Hands on training on proper use of the
Blower Door and DG 700 Digital Monometer, Carbon Monoxide detection
equipment, Gas Leak detection equipment, Infrared Thermometer, and
Electronic Psychrometer
- Introduction to zonal pressure
diagnostics & duct diagnostics
- Proper Audit procedures including
Combustion Appliance Zone (CAZ) testing, draft testing of combustion
appliances, Carbon Monoxide testing of combustion appliances, and
gas leak detection
- Proper inspection of mechanical, DWH,
and venting systems
- Insulation, window, lighting, and
fridge evaluation procedures
- Health & Safety issues including Lead
Paint, Carbon Monoxide, Radon, Moisture/Mold, IAQ issues
- Introduction to the Duct Blaster and
Infrared Camera equipment and use
